The Maine Women s Business Center Empowerment Program Presents Financial Statements: Managing Your Business by the Numbers on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 7:30-9:30 am at the Skowhegan Savings Training Center on Pleasant St. in Skowhegan. A workshop designed to help anyone in business get the most from their money. This workshop is co-sponsored by and funded in part by Skowhegan Savings.

Buisness After Hours at Hammond Lumber Co. ( 5:15pm- 7:00pm )
Buisness After Hours is a member networking event hosted once a month at a member business. The Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce runs these events from September-June taking July and August as a break. The kickoff of the series for the fall is happening September 22 at 5:15- 7:00pm at Hammond Lumber Co. in Skowhegan on Penell Street, just off West Front Street. This is a great oppurtunity for members to network with each other as well as finding out what is new and great at Hammond Lumber Co. The hosting business has gone the extra mile of inviting in many of their vendors for this event and on hand will be the following vendors: Bangor Laminates- showing laminate, stone & corian counter tops Kabinart- a cabinet supplier from Tennessee, will have their rep. here NRF- the largest flooring disributor in the Northeast Dynasty Cabinets- will also have a national rep in attendance Schulter- a revolutionary company making tile showers a breeze to install and worry free Makita- featuring the latest power tools Stabila- featuring tape measures and levels Dow Foam- to help with all fall insulating jobs Also there will be food and drink on hand as well as door prizes and yard tours. Hammond hosted a BAH two years ago and it was one of the most highly attended BAHs we have had and we expect nothing less this time around. Come join us on Spet. 22nd

A motorcycle bike event that include a ride starting and ending at Solon Hotel in Solon. A Supper and evening festivities will be at the end of the day. Bryan is a pioneer in Christian popular music with a groundbreaking career as a Christian recording artist for over 30 years. He was inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2007 alongside Amy Grant and Al Green among others. Bryan was nominated six times for Male Vocalist of the Year in Christian Music and has won three Dove Awards. His album Quiet Prayers was the winner of Inspirational Album of the Year , and his hit single, A Heart like Mine , from the gold album My Utmost for His Highest , was nominated for Song of the Year .
